EU GMP Certification
The European Union (EU) has signed Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) with Australia and Israel authorities, which amongst other things allows these countries to rely on each other's GMP inspection platforms. This means once you have EU GMP certification, a compliant platform is in place for auditors from other jurisdictions. EU GMP is a standard for the pharmaceutical industry and more stringent than the Cannabis Regulations in Canada or food GMPs, so make sure you have experienced pharmaceutical professionals manage this process, like the people at GMP Global.
Licensed producers in Canada will already have a facility & quality systems in place to be compliant with the Cannabis Regulations, but additional protocols, reports and enhanced quality systems are required to be EU GMP compliant, which will in turn ensure a more consistent, effective, higher quality final product.
